Tyler Masse from Lone Oak HS signs a letter of intent to play soccer for MCU

Mayfield, KY - Mid-Continent University head soccer coach David Oesch has signed Tyler Masse (pronounced Massey) from Lone Oak High School in Paducah, Kentucky, to a letter of intent to play for the Cougars beginning with the 2010 fall soccer season. Tyler is the son of Robert and Lana Masse of Paducah.
 
    Masse, a 5-10, 150-pound striker and center midfielder, played four seasons of varsity soccer for Lone Oak High School and scored 15 goals during his senior season. He was LOHS's best junior varsity offensive player as a freshman and also started in several varsity matches.  He was selected as team Offensive Most Valuable Player as a sophomore and as a senior and earned All-District honors both seasons. He tacked on All-Region second team honors as a senior. During his senior season, Masse earned All-Tournament team honors at the Boots and Butts Classic in Hopkinsville, KY.
 
    Coach Oesch comments, "It is always great to sign local (western Kentucky) talent. Tyler is a great addition to our program, and I am excited about him joining our team."
