     Also a catcher during the high school season, Bowman hopes to play softball for MCU coach Christa Bakemeier next spring. Bowman earned All-District honors in basketball as a senior at Community Christian Academy where she was coached by Mary Lee Evers. She is the daughter of David and Lisa Bowman of Brockport, Illinois.

     Gilbert served as team captain as a senior at Apollo High School in Owensboro, Kentucky, where she was coached by Jason Powers. Gilbert was an All-District selection as a senior. She is the daughter of Clayton and Karen Gilbert of Owensboro.
