Coach Brittany Nicley promoted to Assistant AD.
MAYFIELD, Ky. - Mid-Continent University athletics director Larry Lampkins announces the promotion of volleyball coach Brittany Nicley to assistant athletics director, effectively immediately. Nicley joins Lampkins and associate athletics director Joel Thornton on the leadership team for MCU athletics.
 
    "Brittany has done a wonderful job since she joined our staff," says Lampkins. "We welcome her promotion and look forward to our future at Mid-Continent University."
 
     Nicley joined MCU's athletics department prior to the 2009 season, and in her first season as a college coach, MCU set a school record with 5 victories.  Nicley's older sister, Courtney Nicley, is MCU's women's basketball coach.
 
    A 2004 graduate of Western Boone Senior School in Thorntown, Indiana and a three-time All-Conference player in volleyball, softball and basketball, Nicley attended Judson College in Elgin, Illinois where she played four years of volleyball and softball.  She graduated from Judson in 2008, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. As a senior setter on Judson's volleyball team, she led the team with 218 assists.
 
    Nicley still holds her high school volleyball records for most career assists and single-season assists and single-match assists and ranks fourth in Judson College softball history with 381 career at-bats, seventh with 91 hits, 12th with 21 walks, and 13th with 37 RBI and 35 runs scored.
