     I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Mayfield, Kentucky, and Mid-Continent University.  For our loyal fans, I think you will see that MCU is experiencing more success than ever on the playing fields and in the classroom.  More importantly, our student-athletes are an integral part of all aspects of student life.

     We have a young athletic program here at Mid-Continent University that has experienced many changes in the past few years.  Most recently, we began competition in the TransSouth, one of the NAIA's premiere conferences.  After experiencing a great deal of success in our former conference (KIAC), I have been impressed by the efforts of our student-athletes and coaches while stepping up to the level of competition in the TranSouth.  Mid-Continent University currently fields six athletic programs (baseball, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's soccer, and women's volleyball).

     Mayfield is conveniently located off Highway 45, just 20 minutes south from Paducah, and is very accessible to Interstate 24 and the Purchase Parkway.  We have a variety of options for dining, entertainment, and lodging.  While visiting Mayfield, feel free to call on my staff and me if you have any questions or concerns.

All parking for the Cougar Center is located on the side of the building. If those spaces are taken then there is additional parking around campus.

 

Every effort is made to provide visiting teams with an adequate locker room for use. A member of the Mid-Continent University athletic staff will meet you as you arrive to show you the locker room you are assigned. The locker room can be locked during the game, however, Mid-Continent University assumes no responsibility for lost or misplaced items.

 

Mid-Continent University, the NCCAA, the TSAC, and the NAIA welcome you to events held at the Cougar Center. We are a member of the NAIA Champions of Character Initiative.  We challenge all spectators, coaches, officials, and student athletes to enjoy the true spirit of sportsmanship.  Profanity, racial or ethnic comments, or taunting directed at any spectator, coach, student-athlete, or official will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition.

 

Take I-24 W via exit number 86A- on the left- toward CLARKSVILLE/LOUISVILLE (115 miles).  Take the Purchase Parkway exit 25A towards Fulton (26 miles).  Once on Purchase Parkway take exit 25, turn RIGHT onto US-45N.  After 3.5 miles turn RIGHT on Lee Powell Road.  Roughly takes 2.5 hours.

 

Take I-40 W, merge onto I-55 N via exit number 277 toward Blytheville/Jonesboro (82.5 miles). Merge onto I-155 E via exit number 17A toward Dyersburg, TN (26.8 miles). I-155 E becomes US-51 N/Jere B Ford Memorial Hwy (29.5 miles). Turn LEFT onto Everette Blvd/US-51 N/Jere B Ford Memorial Hwy. Continue to follow US-51 N (13.2 miles). US-51 N becomes Julian M. Carroll Purchase Pkwy N (24.5 miles). Take the US-45 exit (exit 25) toward Paducah/Mayfield. Turn LEFT onto US-45 N (3.5 miles). Turn RIGHT onto Lee Powell Rd. Roughly takes 3 hours.

 

Merge onto I-65 S via the ramp- on the left- toward Nashville.  Take the West Kentucky Parkway West exit, (exit 91) toward Owensboro/Paducah. Merge onto Wendell H. Ford Western Kentucky Pkwy W (136 miles).  Merge onto I-24 W via exit number 1B toward Purchase Parkway/Paducah.  Merge onto Purchase Pkwy S via exit number 25A toward Fulton.  Take the US-45 exit- exit number 25- toward Mayfield/Paducah. Turn Right onto US-45 N (3.4 miles).  Turn Right onto LEE POWELL RD.  Roughly takes 4 hours.

 

Take US-60 W via exit 5B toward BG Parkway/Versailles.  Merge onto Blue Grass Parkway West toward Lawrenceburg/Elizabethtown (71 miles).  Merge onto I-65 S via exit 1B on the left- toward West Kentucky Parkway/Bowling Green/Paducah.  Take the West Kentucky  Parkway West exit (exit 91) toward Owensboro/Paducah.  Merge onto Wendell H Ford Western Kentucky Pkwy W (136 miles). Merge onto I-24 W via exit 1B toward Purchase Parkway/Paducah (16.8 miles).  Merge onto Purchase Pkwy S via exit 25A toward Fulton (17.4 miles).  Purchase Pkwy S becomes Julian M Carroll Purchase Pkwy S.  Take the US-45 exit (exit 25) toward Mayfield/Paducah. Turn RIGHT onto US-45 N (3.4 miles).  Turn RIGHT onto LEE POWELL RD.  Roughly takes 5 hours.

 

Take I-64 E toward Illinois. Take I-57 S toward Memphis (47.3 miles). Merge onto I-24 E via exit number 44 toward Nashville (45 miles). Take the US-62 W exit (exit 7) toward Bardwell. Turn LEFT onto Jack Paxton Dr. Turn Slight RIGHT onto US-45 S/Lone Oak Rd. Continue to follow US-45 S (16.9 miles). Turn LEFT onto LEE POWELL RD. Roughly takes 3 hours.

 

 

Generally the best options for hotels in Paducah with the most direct proximity to campus are found off Interstate 24 and US 60.

 

Located 20 miles north of Mayfield situated along north of Hinkleville Road. There are many shops for retail. Anchor stores include Sears, Hibbett Sporting Goods, J.C. Penny, and Dillard's. The mall features a food court with numerous selections.

Mayfield contains more fast food options over sit down restaurants. Such restaurants include McDonalds, Wendy's, Subway, Hardee's, and a variety of other options.
