Key Player Lost from 2010
  • Lorraine Vaughan, 5-4, So., Defensive Specialist/Libero; Russellville, Ky./Logan County H.S. TSAC Scholar-Athlete team as sophomore in 2010. Committed just 44 service reception errors in 489 serve receive attempts (.910) and ranked second on the team with 227 defensive digs and third with 18 service aces.
Key Returning Players from 2010
  • Katie Perry, 6-0, Sr., Middle Hitter, Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian School. All-TSAC second team as junior in 2010, and All-TSAC honorable mention in 2009. Led MCU with school records of 324 kills in 923 attacks and 37 solo blocks and ranked second on the team with 26 service aces and third with 179 digs last season. Record 202 kills, 9 service aces and 202 defensive digs and led MCU with school-record 61 total blocks in 27 matches as sophomore in 2009.  Also played four years of basketball at MCU and is among MCU's all-time leaders in scoring and rebounding.
  • Kristin Selph, 5-7, Jr., Outside Hitter, Jackson, Tenn./Liberty H.S. All-TSAC honorable mention and TSAC Scholar-Athlete as sophomore in 2010. A strong two-way player, Selph set school single-season records in 2010 with 1027 total attack attempts, 42 service aces, 302 service attempts and 562 service reception attempts, and ranks second in single-season kills with 313 kills and 333 digs. As a freshman in 2009, Selph ranked second on team with 205 kills, 22 service aces and 307 defensive digs in 25 matches.
  • Lindsey Davis, 5-6, Sr., Setter, Charlestown, Ind./Charlestown H.S./Kaskaskia Comm. College, Ill. TSAC Scholar-Athlete as a sophomore and junior in 2009 and 2010. Davis set MCU's single-season set assists record with 719 last season and also contributed 18 kills, 11 services aces and 148 defensive digs. As a sophomore in 2009, she recorded 114 set assists and 40 digs in 26 matches in a reserve role. Also played two seasons of basketball for MCU from 2009-11.
  • Tara Bauch, 5-7, Sr., Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist, Houston, Tex./Cy-Falls H.S. Tara transferred to MCU from Vernon College (TX) where she played for two seasons after graduating from Cy-Falls High School in Houston. She recorded 98 kills, 14 service aces and 115 digs and passed 270 of 303 service reception attempts (.891) in 64 games (21 matches) for MCU prior to undergoing season-ending knee surgery.
  • Alyssa Ybarra, 5-4, Jr., Defensive Specialist/Libero, Chino Hills, Calif./Chino Hills H.S. Ybarra earned TSAC Scholar-Athlete honors as sophomore in 2010. She recorded 5 service aces, 101 defensive digs and successfully passed 167 of 180 service reception attempts (.928).
  • Andria Miller, 5-10, Jr., Middle Hitter, Paducah, Ky./Reidland H.S. Miller earned TSAC Scholar-Athlete honors as sophomore in 2010. She totaled 69 kills, 18 digs and 40 total blocks in 34 matches last season and recorded 15 kills, 7 service aces, 40 digs, and ranked second on team with 34 total blocks and 21 solo blocks as freshman in 2009.

  • Christiana Sindelar, 5-10, Jr., Outside Hitter, Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon H.S.  Sindelaar redshirted at Mid-Continent last season after transferring to MCU prior to the 2010 season from Campbellsville University, where she helped the Tigers to a 38-13 record and the NCCAA Division I champion in 2009. Sindelar played in 100 sets in 40 matches and totaled 156 kills with just 64 errors in 440 total kill attempts, 17 solo blocks, 22 assisted blocks, 13 set assists, 9 service aces and 67 digs. She also played for Bluffton College (Ohio) as a freshman in 2008. Also a top-flight student, she earned TSAC Scholar-Athlete honors last season and was high school valedictorian.
