Key Players Lost from 2010-11
  • Katie Perry, 6-0, Sr., F-C, Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian School. Perry averaged 6.7 points and 4.0 rebounds with 8 assists, 2 blocked shots and 9 steals in 13 games for MCU in 2010-11. Her high-point game of 22 came against McKendree on November 16, 2010. Perry averaged 9.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 2009-10, 8.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in 2007-08, and 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds as a freshman in 2006-07. Perry ranks second in MCU history with 612 career points and 385 career rebounds in 4 seasons.
  • Tiffany Payton, 5-8, Sr., G, Wadesville, Ind./Mater Dei HS/Kaskaskia Comm. College, IL. Payton averaged 6.6 points and 2.3 rebounds with 32 three-pointers, 20 assists and 19 steals in 29 games for MCU last season. She scored 10 or more points in nine of MCU's 29 games with a high-point game of 25 points vs. TranSouth foe Blue Mountain (Miss.)  College. With 531 points in one season at MCU and 702 in two seasons of community college, Payton has totaled 1,233 career points with 217 three-pointers and 289 rebounds in 115 collegiate games.
  • Lindsey Davis, 5-6, Sr., G, Charlestown, Ind./Charlestown HS/Kaskaskia Comm. College, IL. Davis averaged 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds and was second on the team with 48 assists and 16 steals in 26 games for MCU in 2010-11.   She posted her season-highs of 13 points against Brescia (Ky.) on November 29, 2010, with season highes of six rebounds and seven assists against Cumberland (Tenn.) on February 26, 2011.
  • Alisha Herndon, 5-11, Sr., F-C, Clarksville, Tenn./Montgomery Central HS. Alisha averaged 2.3 points, and 1.3 rebounds in 27 games as a senior in 2010-11. As a junior, she started nine times in 2009-10, scoring 12 or more points in four games, including season highs of 24 points on 12 of 16 field goals and 8 rebounds against Lindsey Wilson, Nov. 20, and tallied 18 points on 6 of 8 shots in a win over Brescia, Feb. 1. Alisha totaled 282 points and 149 rebounds with 19 assists, 13 steals, and 11 blocked shots in 72 games as a Cougar. 
Key Returning Players
  • Nicki Dewitt, 5-4, Sr., G, Louisville, Ky./Atherton HS.  Nicki averaged 5.5 points and 1.8 rebounds with 39 three-pointers, 14 assists and 6 steals while appearing in every game of the 2010-11 season. She poured in a career-high 23 points on December 10 against Calumet (Ind.), burying seven threes in the process. Dewitt averaged 4.4 points and 1.5 rebounds as a sophomore, and 7.1 points and 1.8 rebounds with 39 three-pointers, 28 assists and 16 steals as freshman in 2008-09. She begins her senior season just 36 points shy of the 500 career point mark.
  • Holli Daily, 5-4, Sr., G, Gainesboro, Tenn./Jackson County HS/Roane State Comm. College (Tenn.). In her first season with the Cougars, Daily averaged 3.8 points per game in 29 games played. She posted a season high 16 points at Martin Methodist on January 13, 2011, and tallied 54 boards and 20 assists as well. 
  • Heather George, 5-10, Sr., F-C, Morristown, Tenn./Morristown West HS/Roane State Comm. College (Tenn.). As a junior, George posted 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. She had season-highs in points (14) and rebounds (13) in a double-double against Blue Mountain (Miss.) College on February 28, one of 10 such games for a Cougars' player. 
  • Shanice Martin, 5-4, Sr., G, Reno, Nevada/Hug HS/Feather River Comm. College (Calif.).  Shanice's junior season produced averages of 10.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Martin was the team's second leading scorer for the season, tallying a total of 301 points in appearing in all 30 of her team's games. Her season-high of 21 points came on December 1 against Missouri Baptist, a game in which she shot a blistering 8-for-11 from the floor, while hitting her only three-point attempt and all four free throws she was awarded.

  • Ginger Gilbert, 5-9, So., F, Owensboro, Ky./Apollo HS. Gilbert averaged 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game for the Cougars as a freshman. 

  • Stephanie Malone, 5-8, So., F, Louisville, Ky./Iroquois HS. Malone had a dominant freshman campaign for the Cougars. She led the team in scoring, posting an average of 14.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, including nine double-doubles on the year. On February 10, she recorded her ninth and final double-double of the season, in the process posting season highs in points (28) and rebounds (13).
