Major: Business Administration. Birthdate: June 18. Son of: Samuel Etale and Catherine Mukoya.
As a freshman at Mid-Continent University in 2007, David was the back-up goalkeeper most of the season but stepped up as the starter in the last eight matches of the season and allowed less than one goal per match and led the Cougars to three victories and the team title in the TransSouth Championships and wins over Judson (Ill.) and Lindsey Wilson in the NAIA Region XI championships. MCU won the Region XI title and played in the NAIA National Tournament Sweet 16.
From Nairobi, Kenya, Etale played for Ofafa Jericho High School, helping his team to championships in the Chania Cup, MDI Forces Cup, Dr. Griffiths Memorial Cup, and the Nairobi Provincial team title. Off the field, David was a member of the Wildlife and Soccer clubs.
