MAYFIELD, Ky. - The Mid-Continent University women's basketball team (8-20) wrapped up their non-conference schedule on Thursday evening, earning a victory on the road in Nashville, Tenn. over Welch College, 68-41.

Stephanie Malone and Natalie Taylor each tallied 10 points in the first half, and at the break, Mid-Continent led the Lady Flames of Welch 31-18. The Cougars got more of the same from their team in the second half, cruising in with the win 68-41.

Malone and Taylor led the way offensively for the Cougars with 19 points each, while Jaylin Jones added 13 tallies.

Mid-Continent will complete their regular season on Saturday, heading to nearby McKenzie, Tenn. to take on the NAIA #19 Bethel University Lady Wildcats (19-9, 3-4). Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
