Michael is a freshman outfielder who comes to Mid-Continent University from Lone Oak High School, where he graduated in 2010. Edwards joins his brother Daniel, and former high school teammates Drew Harrison, Allen Haase, Josh Byrd and Jesse Turner on the current MCU baseball squad.
Michael played for Coach Geno Miller at Lone Oak High School and hit .379 with two doubles and one home run, 12 RBI and 18 runs scored as a junior in 2009, and won a Gold Glove award as a senior in 2010. Lone Oak won the 2nd District championship during his junior year and a 1st Region championship during his senior season and finished with a 29-10 record. Edwards also lettered in varsity football for two seasons.
